Before Treatment

  • Do not wear makeup, creams, serums, or other facial products
  • Take an antiviral for two days prior if you are prone to cold sores (see your doctor)
  • Avoid sun exposure for 72 hours (we can't treat sunburned skin)
  • Discontinue use of topical products with glycolic acid, retinol, or vitamin A for three days

After Treatment

  • Avoid strenuous exercise or excessive perspiration (excess blood flow and sweat can cause discomfort and skin irritation)
  • Use only products recommended by your esthetician and aesthetic RN
  • Strictly avoid sun exposure as you will not be wearing sunscreen
  • Minimize sun exposure for two weeks
  • Use our tinted sunscreen for long-term results
